Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb beef chorizo
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp chopped pickled jalapenos
- 1 tsp lime juice
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, beef chorizo, breadcrumbs, chopped red onion, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper
Mix the ingredients until well combined, and then form the mixture into 4 burger patties
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat
Grill the burger patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and allow it to melt
While the burgers are cooking, mix mayonnaise, chopped pickled jalapenos, and lime juice to create the Jalapeno Mayo Sauce
Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes
Assemble the burgers by placing a grilled patty on each bun, topping with shredded lettuce, and drizzling with Jalapeno Mayo Sauce
